NACHI-FUJIKOSHI CORP. (NACHI) is Working to Remove Counterfeit Bearings From the Chinese Market

NACHI-FUJIKOSHI CORP. (NACHI) is working to remove counterfeit bearings from the Chinese market.  As a member of the Intellectual Property Protection Activities in China, which is a sub-group of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), NACHI is joining forces to fight counterfeiting in the Chinese market.

Last year, as part of its anticounterfeiting activities, NACHI monitored the 15th China International Bearing Industry Exhibition held in September 2016 where a survey conducted in 2012 with support from JETRO was discussed.  By identifying counterfeit goods at the exhibition as well as acting against counterfeiters, NACHI sought to prevent the circulation of counterfeit goods and issue a warning to other potential counterfeiters in the industry.

NACHI focused its efforts on targeting the misappropriation of its subsidiaries’ trademarks generally and  on bearing packaging, and on the recent trends of suspect bearing trading companies and sellers.  It is rare to see counterfeit products on display at trade shows.  When it happens, the infringing bearing manufacturer is typically investigated at a later stage instead of an on-site.  At the exhibition, NACHI identified many companies infringing trademark rights as well as trade names.  NACHI has strictly and successfully acted against infringers.

The spread of counterfeiting industrial goods is becoming more sophisticated and diverse in the products targeted.  NACHI continues to cooperate with the WBA, ABMA and JETRO and in collaboration with national and local authorities to prevent these activities and protect customers from the dangers of fake bearings and other industrial goods.
